As Vice President Engineering at Samsung SDI Battery Systems, Dr. Nikolaus Hochgatterer is responsible for the design and development of lithium-ion battery systems for automotive applications.
His 20 years of professional experience includes series development projects for OEMs from concept to production, the further development and integration of the engineering division into the global structure of Samsung SDI.
Furthermore, the optimization of the implementation of Li-ion cell technology as well as fundamental developments in battery technology at Magna Steyr Fahrzeugtechnik.
Dr. Nikolaus Hochgatterer holds a doctorate in battery technology and studied technical chemistry at Graz University of Technology.
