The overlapping of partly disruptive changes in global trade-policy conditions, evaluations in the social scale of values, as well as rapid technological innovations require a profound repositioning of business logics in most European industrial segments. This particularly affects the automotive supply industry by using “new technologies” on a DIGITAL BASIS along the entire value chain through to and on the end product, which are at the same time triggers and problem-solving elements of this necessary transformation.

DI Franz Rotter, Member of the Management Board of voestalpine AG and Head of the High Performance Metals Division
Franz Rotter holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mining from University of Leoben and occupied mainly leading positions in the voestalpine group, Iso-Holding AG, Austria Antriebstechnik AG and AMAG-group from 1981 to 2006.
From 2007-2010 Franz Rotter was Member of the Board of voestalpine High Performance Metals GmbH (formerly voestalpine Edelstahl GmbH/BÖHLER-UDDEHOLM AG).
In 01/2011 Franz Rotter was appointed as Member of the Board of voestalpine AG, being responsible for the High Performance Metals Division. At the same time he became Chairman of the Management Board and CEO of voestalpine High Performance Metals GmbH (= Division High Performance Metals) and President of ASMET (The Austrian Society for Metallurgy and Materials).
